I finally read the back cover of this book (I had bought it based on skimming a review without much knowledge of the plot). I've read 239 pages of this Mystery novel. the back cover of the trade paperback edition gives away a plot development that has not happened yet, even as far as I have read. this is not the first time I've encountered this phenomenon. I really hate it. I'm glad I hadn't read what is essentially a spoiler on the back of the book. just a heads-up. putting all that nonsense aside, the book is still terrific. but just read the top half of the back cover to get an idea of the story.
