Without the Moon - Cathi Unsworth

like most serial killer tales, it's compulsive reading--and a bit chilling--but she sure is running a lot of characters scattered all over London. she also jumps around a lot in one chapter. nevertheless, I think I've got the who's who factor straight, and the period details--London during the Blitz, slang, curfews, lots of soldiers and airmen wandering the nights looking for action--are wonderful. Greenaway just has to watch out for what seem to be false trails (unless they're not) and zero in on this sick killer of prostitutes.
