so, I just read the fourth story in the collection, 'The Murder on the Golf Links' by M. McDonnell Bodkin. not a brilliant little whodunit, but still pretty cool. I liked it--nice effort, in a few pages. it seems that as I work my through these themed short-story collections Martin Edwards is offering us--if I do, giving this one an experimental whirl first--I'm going to meet as many forgotten, but once fairly well-known, detectives as I'm meeting in the old novels that are also being pulled from the cobwebs of limbo. a virtual army. a Chesterton tale is next.
