very happy with my first Polish Crime & Mystery novel. obviously, there are things in this book that are not much different from any Noirish Police Procedural...and then there are many things specific to a Warsaw setting, not to mention who handles a murder investigation, that give the book a fresh feel. the nasty killing has taken place while a psychotherapist has been sequestered with four clients, enacting something called "Constellation" (a form of Group) Therapy, and that technique is new to me. it has led to a strange whodunit, steeped in therapeutic practices that have possibly brought on a tragic result; but that's not confirmed yet. anyway, I'm quite impressed with this book, so far.
