Joe Lansdale, in his Intro to this collection, suggests I not be a ‘gobbler’ - that is, that I not read these stories quickly and in one big group, but rather space them out over at least a week, presumably while also reading something else. originally, I was going to be a stubborn gobbler anyway, but now I’m starting to lean towards his advice. the stories are fun and very effective, but having completed two of them, I may stop with the gobbling, so they don’t all mush together, and divert to Herron’s Nobody Walks, then do two or three more Dana Roberts fright-scapades, and then something else, etc. etc.
I don’t know, just don’t know..haven’t decided. will decide when I feel like reading again!
