well, except for the weird items some digging has unearthed - weird that they have been put together - the book seems to have settled down when it comes to flinging heaps of lunacy at the reader without caution for what that does to the head, and has focused on cops, and Mrs. Bradley, trying to apply sensible theories to the whole extravaganza in order to figure out what it all means.
this book does make me want to continue with the series at some point, and seems very different from what I remember of The Rising of the Moon, which speaks to appealing variety in the many Mrs. Bradley books. the solution to this Mystery is going to help determine my overall rating, but it has been fun heading towards it.
