The Cutting Room - Louise Welsh

definitely too harsh and disturbing in its premise to be suitable for every Crime novel enthusiast, but I love it. has turned out to be an unexpectedly appropriate follow-up to Stephen King’s short story ‘Dedication’ - an unintended ‘weird sex-crimes double-bill’, as it were (well, okay, maybe there was no actual crime in ‘Dedication’, but still, going from that, to this novel, is...strange). (Update: actually, there was a crime in ‘Dedication’, done to Martha, in her past.)
