The Ponson Case - Freeman Wills Crofts, Dolores Gordon-Smith

in the most general sense, when I first started reading Freeman Wills Crofts’ Mysteries I hit upon several I really liked; then came a bad patch of books by the author that I thought were weaker or duller efforts - to the extent that I was going to take a long break from any more. but I don’t think I stayed away too long, and overall, things have come around full circle, and I am finding some of his better books again. I do feel this writer writes in a way that would put some Mystery enthusiasts off most of the time; it has to do with the criticisms of ‘humdrum’ or ‘plodding’. but I really only dislike two or three. and I am very happy with this one.
